Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

  • 225g butter (softened)
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 230g brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 360g flour (sifted)
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups or more! cause why not! chocolate chips /chocolate chunks
INSTRUCTIONS:

👉Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside.

👉In a medium bowl, whisk the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until no brown sugar lumps remain. Whisk in the eggs. Finally, add in the vanilla extract.

👉Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix together with a large spoon or rubber spatula. Oh! and don't forget to add those chocolate chips! The dough will be sticky, but don't worry. 😉

👉Cover the dough tightly and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours or up to 3 days. I recommend chilling the cookie dough overnight for better scooping and less spreading while its baking.

👉Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside.

👉Using a cookie scoop or Tablespoon measuring spoon, measure 2 tbsp. (about 50g) of dough for medium/large cookies

👉Bake the cookies for 12–13 minutes or until the edges are very lightly browned.


These cookies can stay fresh covered at room temperature for up to a week.
